- Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include research and writing for the assigned judge as well as performing administrative duties. Also, the clerk will attend court hearings with the judge. The clerk will work together with the judge's staff attorney to provide legal assistance as needed. All applicants should be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
- Minimum and Additional Requirements
- A Juris Doctor degree or its equivalent from an accredited law school and membership in the South Carolina Bar.
- Applicants awaiting results from the February bar exam will be considered.
- Preferred Qualifications
Professional legal experience preferred. Proficiency in computerized legal research using Westlaw.
