Commercial Finance Paralegal Job Details:

Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. is seeking a Commercial Finance Paralegal to support the Commercial Finance practice group by assisting with loan document preparation based on initial term sheets and summary transaction terms.

This role is designed for a detail-oriented and technology-forward professional familiar with commercial loan transactions who will assist attorneys in preparing loan transaction documentation using established forms, sample documents, templates and emerging AI-assisted technology. The position will improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability in commercial finance transactions.

The Paralegal operates as a billable timekeeper supporting attorneys while collaborating with others in the practice group and innovation resources to enhance document automation and loan document closing processes.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Transaction Document Production

  • Prepare initial drafts of commercial loan documents using approved forms, sample documents, templates and emerging AI-assisted technology from term sheets, transaction summaries and attorney directed input
  • Incorporate negotiated provisions and manage redlined document versions throughout deal lifecycle

Drive Consistency, Accuracy and Optimization

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across forms, sample documents, and templates
  • Become expert using firm selected transaction focused AI tools and document automation platforms
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize recurring transaction processes
  • Support implementation of template libraries and best practices

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with attorneys and internal teams to refine automated document processes
  • Identify opportunities for additional technology tools which could support group
  • Support adoption of emerging drafting and productivity tools within the practice

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–5 years of experience in a law firm, financial services, legal operations, or transactional support environment preferred
  • Experience with commercial finance, banking, or transactional documentation
  • Strong technical aptitude and interest in workflow automation or AI-enabled tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced transactional environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
