The Attorney Support Supervisor is an integral part of Latham’s Attorney Support team. This role will be responsible for leading, coaching, and supporting the delivery of the Attorney Support team, acting as a pro-active deputy to the Attorney Support Manager, while supervising and developing Attorney Support team members within the Attorney Support function. This role will be located in either our Houston or Austin office. Please note that this role will be required to go in-office 4 days a week.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and monitoring workflow, coordination, and delegation of team assignments, based on operational requirements
- Ensuring that the team tracks all requests through the firm’s ServiceNow ticketing system
- Providing relevant and timely management information to management
- Identifying training requirements and supporting the development, implementation, and assessment of ongoing Attorney Support training programs
- Being responsible for the orientation, training of, and ongoing support for new team members; training will emphasize the Attorney Support team’s commitment to excellence in client service
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Display strong people management skills including but not limited to effective delegation and management of operations, performance management, change management, and team engagement and motivation
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective mentoring
- Possess experience with workflow coordination
And have:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent
- A bachelor's degree, preferably
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a legal or professional services environment
