Litigation Specialist

Location: Remote – Nationwide
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Dedicated Account: Single client
Licensing: Home state adjuster’s license required or ability to obtain within 60 days (including passing licensing exam and background check)

Position Overview

CCMSI is seeking an experienced Litigation Specialist to manage complex, high-exposure litigated claims for a single dedicated client. Under the direction of the Litigation Manager, this role involves overseeing property damage litigation, Small Claims Court matters, and moderate to severe bodily injury claims, including fatalities. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with defense litigation, settlement negotiations, and ensuring cost-effective litigation strategies.

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex litigated claims.

• Oversee and manage litigation strategies, ensuring cost control and compliance.

• Provide support to local divisions/General Managers in Small Claims Court matters.

• Maintain organized claim files with appropriate documentation and analysis.

• Establish and manage loss reserves and legal budgets.

• Effect settlements within authority and provide recommendations on larger claims.

• Participate in monthly claim reviews, meetings, and conference calls with the client and defense counsel.

• Ensure compliance with state regulations, client procedures, and industry best practices.

• Represent the company in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.

• Maintain and renew adjuster licenses, including required continuing education.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years handling complex litigated claims

• Experience managing defense counsel and litigation strategy

• Proven ability to handle moderate to severe bodily injury claims, including fatalities

• Expertise in multi-line claims, including property damage and liability litigation

• Strong negotiation skills and experience in mediation, arbitration, and settlement conferences

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Home state adjuster’s license required or ability to obtain within 60 days (including passing licensing exam and background check).
