Job Description
Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
Duties Assists and initiates the development of Bureau policies and programs as they relate to effective GED literacy, high school, alternative literacy, special learning needs, post-secondary, occupational education, adult continuing education, English-as-a-Second Language, libraries, recreation, leisure time activities, inmate wellness, special projects, reentry, and related activities. Coordinates and recommends Central Office actions affecting quality of education and leisure activity programs and serves, as assigned as liaison with other Central Office, regional and institution staff. Assists in the development and completions of reports and documents for the agency's executive staff, in convening workshops and conferences, and provide input to the Assistant Education Administrator in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of such meetings. Reviews current literature and research studies and reports. Salary- $121,785 - $158,322/year
