Jr. Attorney

SUMMARY:

Our client, a nationally recognized & prestigious law firm, seeks a junior associate with 2 -3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas of acquisition financing (leveraged finance), agented syndicated secured financing (cash flow or asset-based), fund finance, and/or healthcare financing, with a good knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare initial drafts of credit agreements, security agreements, guarantees, and legal opinions.
• Review lien searches, corporate organizational documents, and collateral-related documents.
• Perform research on UCC filing requirements, borrower regulations, and financial regulations.
• Coordinate deal timelines, manage signature pages, and facilitate the closing process.
• Perform additional tasks & duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• JD (Juris Doctor) Degree from an Ivy League &/or Prestigious Accredited Law School
• Active Illinois Bar Membership in Good Standing
• AM Law 100 – 200 experience preferred
• Must have strong drafting and negotiating skills
• Must possess a meaningful desire for client interactions & deal activities
• Should have an outgoing and engaging personality.
