Intake Attorney

We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our San Diego office is looking for an Intake Attorney to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for working with clients (property owners and managers) on landlord-tenant matters and assessing the viability of evictions.

Compensation:

 

$95,000-$115,000/annually

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist clients step-by-step through every phase of the eviction process
  • Provide legal advice through consultations
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to identify and assess viability and risks of new cases and to identify legal issues; communicate the same to clients
  • Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices, based on client needs
  • Conduct and direct legal document preparation and review, including summons and complaints and stipulations
  • Assist with occasional court appearances and client presentations

 

Qualifications:

 

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

 

  • J.D. and an active California Bar license
  • General knowledge of civil litigation

 

The following qualifications are preferred:

 

  • General knowledge of landlord-tenant legal principles
  • Knowledge of the litigation process and California Civil Code
  • Some contact with the rental housing industry

 

Schedule:

 

Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.

 

The primary responsibilities of this position require that the work be performed at the office full-time. We are not considering remote candidates at this time.
