The Professional Development Lead – Learning & Development is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the learning and development team’s responsibilities, while developing learning materials, executing training projects and program communications that include leader’s guides, participant workbooks, and visual aids such as PowerPoint presentations. This role will be located in either our New York or Global Services Office located in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing new training courses in various formats (classroom, virtual, self-paced) as well as reviewing and/or updating current courses
- Assisting in identifying training needs/issues, and providing innovative training solutions for the Firm’s business services colleagues
- Measuring the transfer of learning and training impact by creating and implementing multi-level evaluations
- Facilitating professional and leadership skills via classroom and virtual course formats to a global population
- Contributing to the identification and creation process of learning opportunities outside the classroom, such as using multi-media devices, e-learning, etc.
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess program management skills demonstrated across multiple locations, cultures, and matrixed organizations
- Exhibit knowledge of and proficiency in adult learning
- Demonstrate a proven ability to create effective training courses that incorporate experiential learning activities to meet the needs and culture of the audience
And have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Instructional Design, or related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Capital or People function
- Experience managing global projects within a matrixed environment
- Experience developing and facilitating both classroom and virtual learning programs
- Experience within a professional services environment
