Job Title: Director of Strategic Growth
Department: Human Resources
Location: Atlanta
Reports to Title: Attorney Hiring Committee
 

Purpose of the Job:

The Director of Strategic Growth leads the law firm’s attorney recruitment strategy to attract and onboard high-performing legal talent across diverse practice areas. This role partners with senior leadership and managing partners to ensure alignment with long-term business objectives and oversees the full recruitment lifecycle. The Director plays a critical role in driving the firm’s expansion by ensuring the timely acquisition of top-tier, client-centric attorneys and contributing to a positive, inclusive candidate experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Recruitment Leadership
    • Design and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for attorney hiring.
    • Align talent acquisition efforts with the firm’s strategic growth plans.
  2. End-to-End Recruitment Management
    • Oversee sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of attorneys.
    • Partner with department leaders and hiring committees to facilitate hiring decisions.
  3. Candidate Experience and Engagement
    • Ensure a seamless, transparent, and positive candidate experience.
    • Enhance new hire integration through structured onboarding and engagement plans.
  4. Internal and External Collaboration
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and managing partners to understand hiring needs.
    • Build strong relationships with external recruiters, law schools, and legal networks.
  5. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
    • Drive DEI-focused recruitment strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.
    • Monitor hiring outcomes to ensure equitable access and representation.
  6. Recruitment Analytics and Continuous Improvement
    • Track key recruitment metrics and report actionable insights to leadership.
    • Optimize recruitment processes using industry best practices and market intelligence.
  7. Market Intelligence and Innovation
    • Stay informed on legal hiring trends and recruitment technology.
    • Lead initiatives to keep the firm competitive in the legal talent market.
  8. Other Duties
    • Perform additional responsibilities and strategic projects as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  1. Education
    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  2. Experience
    • 5–7 years of experience in legal recruitment, staffing, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the legal market and industry dynamics.
  3. Skills
    • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Project management and multitasking abilities in a high-paced environment.
    • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
    • Knowledge of DEI recruitment practices.
    • Strategic thinking and alignment with organizational goals.

 

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
  2. Occasional travel for recruitment events and firm initiatives.
