Deputy Attorneys General, with critical support from criminal special investigators, victim service specialists, paraprofessionals, and administrative staff, prosecute criminal cases, enforce consumer laws, provide counsel to state agencies, ensure the public's access to open government, protect the abused, and much more.
The Delaware Department of Justice, Civil Rights & Public Trust Division, is seeking a Special Investigator to conduct investigations involving civil rights violations, public corruption, official misconduct, election-related offenses, hate crimes, abuse of public office, and other matters affecting public confidence in government.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Special Investigator of the Civil Rights & Public Trust Division, this position is responsible for conducting investigations, ensuring the timely and effective progress of investigations, and independently managing complex investigative matters. The Special Investigator works collaboratively with Deputy Attorneys General, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and governmental partners to advance the Division’s mission of protecting civil rights and maintaining integrity in public service.
