Dominion Financial Services (DFS) is a mortgage originator of business purpose loans to real estate investors nationwide. DFS originates two main loan products – a short term bridge loan for fix & flip investors, and a long-term rental loan for landlords growing their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and shows aggressive quarterly growth. Our current origination volume is $70MM per month. DFS is looking for a detail-oriented General Counsel to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

Review and negotiate transactional documentation related to warehouse lines, repurchase agreements, securitizations and master loan purchase agreements
Review and negotiate vendor and licensing agreements
Conduct legal research to stay up to date with changes in state laws and regulations of mortgage compliance
Advise on legal implications and risks related to loan documents and real estate closings
Advise on workout strategy for defaulted loans

Preferred Qualifications

7 or more years of experience in Real Estate Law.
Active Bar member in good standing within your state.
Strong work ethic and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
