Real Estate & Litigation Paralegal
Location: Santa Monica, CA| Full-Time | Corporate Legal Department 4 days in office (Mon-Thurs) with remote Fridays.

Join our dynamic Corporate Legal Operations team as a Real Estate & Litigation Paralegal, where you’ll support high-impact commercial property matters and help drive legal strategies across our organization.
Position Overview
As a key member of our legal team, you’ll provide comprehensive paralegal support on commercial real estate litigation, lease enforcement, and tenant matters. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role where legal precision meets business impact—ideal for a skilled paralegal who thrives on variety and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Lease Enforcement & Tenant Relations
- Draft and manage legal notices, including default, demand, termination, relocation, and abandonment letters
- Communicate directly with tenants and their counsel to resolve disputes and recover arrears
- Assist with negotiating and documenting settlement agreements
Legal Review & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth lease reviews, evaluating provisions such as co-tenancy, CAM charges, exclusive use, and termination rights
- Assess legal exposure through litigation evaluations and collectability assessments
- Analyze relocation clauses, radius restrictions, and other complex contractual terms
Litigation Support
- Coordinate unlawful detainer and breach of lease filings
- Support collection efforts and handle matters involving bankrupt tenants
- Respond to subpoenas, maintain legal holds, and support document preservation
- Monitor construction defect claims and mechanics' lien issues
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Property Management and Leasing teams to identify and reduce legal risk
- Deliver day-to-day legal support to departments company-wide
- Assist in the resolution of various legal and compliance matters across business units
Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program required
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Proven track record in real estate law and commercial landlord/tenant litigation preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
