Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Litigation Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of litigation experience, construction-related experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
• Support a busy litigation team in managing matters from investigation through resolution or trial
• Draft pleadings, handle discovery, take and defend depositions, and argue motions
• Analyze contracts, including indemnity and insurance provisions; construction law experience is a plus
• Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and trial settings
• Contribute to case strategy, client communication, and risk assessment
Minimum Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar
• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent judgment, communication, and case management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with construction statutes such as RCW Chapter 64.50 and related Washington laws
• Construction-related litigation preferred, but not required
• Ability to manage multiple high-level cases with limited supervision
• Background in advising clients on risk mitigation, claims handling, or insurance strategy
