Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full-time Associate Attorney to join our dynamic personal injury team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, with particular expertise in trucking accidents and catastrophic injury cases. Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, including but not limited to:
    • Auto accidents
    • Trucking accidents
    • Slip and fall incidents
    • Workplace injuries
    • Medical malpractice
    • Product liability
    • Catastrophic injuries
  • Conduct thorough case evaluations and investigations to determine liability and damages
  • Develop comprehensive litigation strategies tailored to each case
  • Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs
  • Engage in settlement negotiations with insurance companies and opposing counsel
  • Prepare and argue motions in court
  • Conduct depositions of witnesses, experts, and opposing parties
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses to build strong cases
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Stay current with changes in personal injury law and relevant regulations
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout their cases
  • Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals
  • Contribute to the firm's business development efforts through networking and community involvement
Qualifications Required:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the state bar (TX)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation
  • Demonstrated expertise in trucking accident cases and catastrophic injury litigation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred:
  • Experience with complex litigation and class action lawsuits
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interpret medical records
  • Familiarity with accident reconstruction techniques
  • Experience with case management software and e-discovery platforms
  • Record of successful trial experience
  • Additional language skills, particularly Spanish
