This is a remote/hybrid position; candidate must be within 50 miles of the Support Center, in Harrisburg, PA to be considered.

Summary of Position: The General Counsel (GC) will guide YAP’s legal actions and operations and lead YAP’s legal department, sitting on the Executive Team and reporting to the President and CEO. The ideal candidate has significant experience within the nonprofit sector.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- J.D. plus current bar admission in Pennsylvania. Preferred to also be admitted in other states in which YAP has significant number of programs.
- Strong working knowledge and familiarity with the field of Labor and Employment law and providing guidance to HR partners required.
- Extensive experience with business contracts required.
- Experience in nonprofit law a plus.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to produce legal briefs and analyses independently.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, ability to manage and oversee a small team, and experience developing and managing a legal budget. Experience managing outside counsel preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization, up to the Board of Directors.
- 10 years of management and C-suite Communication experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change.
- Must be proficient in MS 365 Suite and Cloud-Based Computing.
- Must possess strong organizational, leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
Position is hybrid schedule between remote and in the office, located in Harrisburg, PA
