Job Summary:

Invited is bringing on board an Associate Counsel – Real Estate to provide legal analysis, advice, transactional leadership, and support in all areas of real estate, including leasing, acquisition/disposition, development, title/survey, construction, and financing. Experience with water law related matters is a plus.  This is a hybrid role working 2 days / week out of our corporate office in Irving, Texas.

Day-to-Day:

  •  Advise on real estate transactions, easements, land use, and environmental compliance 
  • Negotiate, draft and review real property related agreements including purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and easement agreements
  • Provide legal counsel regarding drainage and water law matters, water rights, permitting, compliance, and regulatory issues 
  • Draft, review, and negotiate water agreements
  • Coordinate with government agencies, external counsel and company stakeholders on water and land use matters 
  • Review title, survey and due diligence reports including ESAs, PCAs and zoning reports
  • Negotiate construction contracts including AIA agreements
  • Counsel on other real estate related matters, including eminent domain, boundary disputes, HOA CCRs requirements and compliance, and land use

About You: 

  •  JD from an accredited law school
  • 5+ years of real estate law experience (Law firm and/or Corporate Legal 5+ Department)
  • Multi-unit real estate experience preferred
  • Strong project management experience with the proven ability to analyze, prioritize and execute multiple projects and complex tasks under a deadline
  • Ability to analyze legal issues and to provide effective, practical advice on routine legal matters.
