Paralegal
As the first inhouse corporate paralegal at Lyten you will report directly to the General Counsel and provide essential support to a small but growing legal department by drafting documents, organizing files, and assisting inhouse counsel.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of legal procedures and terminology.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Prepare for and assist with meetings, including, Board meetings
- Corporate governance document management
- Contract and NDA management; manage work intake, assignment, and status
- Negotiate and process NDAs
- Draft and review correspondence, reports, summaries, and legal documents
- Organize files and documents
- Review files and documents, report on status
- Assist with case management
- Conduct online legal research
- Proofreading documents
- Assist with projects as needed
- Administrative support including scheduling meetings
- Communicate effectively with internal clients and external parties
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and legal information, adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct in all interactions and activities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience AND a bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Proven prior paralegal or related work experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Paralegal, legal, or related studies preferred
- Notary license not required but a plus
- Financial, budgeting, and invoicing experience a plus
- Prior NDA management and negotiation experience a plus
- Strong organizational, time and deadline management, and multitasking skills
- Strong computer skills (esp. Microsoft Office)
- Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships
- Flexibility for startup work environment
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time, be able to lift 10 + pounds and be able to walk between facilities
Compensations Range:
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$106,000.00 - $159,000.00The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
