Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Estate Planning Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to create comprehensive estate plans tailored to their specific needs, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents. This role requires a deep understanding of estate planning laws, potential tax implications, and probate procedures. The attorney will also provide guidance in trust administration, probate matters, and asset protection strategies.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Estate Planning Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to create comprehensive estate plans tailored to their specific needs, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents. This role requires a deep understanding of estate planning laws, potential tax implications, and probate procedures. The attorney will also provide guidance in trust administration, probate matters, and asset protection strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their estate planning needs, financial situations, and family dynamics, and provide legal advice tailored to their circumstances.
- Document Preparation: Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts (revocable and irrevocable), powers of attorney, health care directives, and other related documents.
- Estate Administration: Guide clients through the probate and trust administration processes, including asset distribution, court filings, and ensuring legal compliance.
- Asset Protection: Develop strategies to protect clients’ assets from potential creditors, litigation, or other risks, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing ongoing advice as their needs and circumstances change.
- Collaboration: Work closely with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive estate planning strategy.
- Legal Research: Stay current with developments in estate planning law, probate law, and tax law, and apply this knowledge to client matters.
- Litigation Support: In the event of disputes or litigation related to estates, provide legal advice and support, including representing clients in court as needed.
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.).
- Bar Admission: Must be licensed to practice law in Georgia
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, probate, or related areas of law.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of federal and state estate tax laws, probate processes, and estate planning techniques.
- Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and handle sensitive family dynamics with tact and professionalism.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, estate planning software, and legal research tools, Mycase and Soluno preferred.
