Job Description
General Summary:
- The Paralegal will assist General Counsel in a full range of legal matters.
- Anticipated services include: document support; legal drafting; legal research; fact investigations; policy analysis; monitoring litigation; long term legal projects; utilization of Excel for legal data analysis; and utilization of Sheppard Pratt’s contract management system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Work requires a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
- Paralegal certificate required.
- Work requires understanding of legal language and contract principles, research methods and other related matters – acquired though three (3) years of experience.
- Work managing the office functions, taking meeting minutes, proofreading, and meeting tight and sometimes unexpected deadlines.
- Position requires analytical ability sufficient to develop and implement office procedures, prepare reports, and compute basic statistics.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computer with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other automated office equipment.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
