Legal Secretary
Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Overview:
Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced and highly organized Legal Secretary to support attorneys in our Trusts & Estates practice group in our Cleveland office. This is a fully onsite role requiring five days per week in the office.
While prior trusts & estates experience is preferred, we welcome candidates from any legal practice area who bring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, scheduling, and coordination of meetings
- Prepare, revise, and proofread correspondence and legal documents with a high degree of accuracy
- Assis tin the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Support probate and trust administration by organizing files, maintaining documentation, and preparing standard court forms and filings
- Manage client files (electronic and paper), including new matter intake, ongoing organization, and file closing/archiving
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and external contacts; ensure timely follow-up and responsiveness
- Coordinate document execution, including client signing meetings and notarizations
- Enter attorney time ,assist with billing processes, and support client engagement documentation
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant (any practice area considered)
- Trusts & estates or probate experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-service mindset
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in the Cleveland office five days per week

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
