Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Help Desk Technician to join our IT team in Houston. This in-person role is responsible for responding to help desk tickets, escalating issues as needed, and supporting project work across Infrastructure and Development teams. This role provides exposure to multiple IT areas and offers significant room to grow your technical skillset. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve daily help desk requests in a timely manner and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on backups and system updates
  • Assist IT Directors in tracking and managing help desk tickets
  • Analyze help desk activities to improve efficiency and recommend process improvements
  • Follow up with users to confirm resolution of technical issues
  • Image workstations using Intune and ConnectWise packages
  • Provide support for desktops, laptops, software, and printers
  • Assist with IT inventory management and logistics
  • Contribute to IT security initiatives and help educate users on policies and best practices
  • Support special IT projects as assigned
  • Recommend updates to IT documentation when needed

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of help desk or IT support experience preferred
  • Strong experience with Windows 10/11, Office 365 Suite, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and hardware support
  • Active Directory administration experience (password resets, security groups, GPO management)
  • Experience with remote access tools (VPN, Terminal Services)
  • General knowledge of virus, malware, and spyware diagnosis and removal techniques
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read, analyze, and follow technical procedures, manuals, and policies
  • IT-related degree preferred
