Job Description

  • Prepares and maintains court files in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Responds to inquires or directs to appropriate person.
  • Prepares case binders and make ready for file backs.
  • In-office duties include: enter location of files checked out in case management system; file back file jackets; index on file jackets; make copies; assist District Clerk, Administrative Assistant, Supervisors, and Data Coordinator; shift file jackets on shelves; assist in imaging department; scan court documents; shredding; print docketing indexes for court; all other designated duties.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Strong filing skills.
  • Typing preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other county employees, elected officials and co-workers.
  • Self-starter skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt and cope with fast-paced office.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and required auto insurance.
  • Must make frequent court attendance and have no visible tattoos.

SALARY RANGE: $15.00 Hourly/ 28 Hours per week-(Mon-Fri)

CLOSING DATE:  Upon filling position
