If you are a tax professional looking to increase your tax resolution background, this is the job for you! Once fully trained, the Licensed Tax Professional (LTP), is responsible for the negotiation and submission of MoneySolver client tax resolutions. The LTP is expected to handle a pipeline of approx. 200 tax resolution cases from multiple Tax Analysts. The tax professional must have sharp critical thinking skills, professional writing skills and be highly knowledgeable of IRS processes and regulations to be able to identify and address nuanced issues across the entire tax resolution spectrum. The LTP is responsible for providing quality and compliance oversight as required by best practices and Circular 230 and is expected to display strong leadership skills in working with employees and clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The LTP acts in a manner consistent with the rules and standards of both, their governing professional organization and IRS Circular 230 and to set an example for those around them.
- Strong knowledge of IRS processes and procedures; including collections, examinations, innocent spouse, and offer in compromise, appeals, advisory, penalty abatement, and ID theft.
- A thorough understanding of the Internal Revenue Manual and the capacity to build arguments using IRS policy, revenue procedures, and law.
- Ability to efficiently and competently review financial statements; including analyzing income, assets and various advantages of outcomes Tax Analyst has proposed.
- Responsible for ad hoc leadership and oversight to Tax Analysts on case progression and case decision making. This will include a focus on the following and providing correction when necessary.
- Ensure client cases are being appropriately worked and all contracted services are being addressed, with the ultimate goal of completion as appropriate.
- Ensure the work product being submitted to them meets the criteria of IRS Circular 230, as well as the ethical standards of other professional organizations the individual belongs to.
- Licensed Attorney in good standing with the Bar of a US Jurisdiction.
- Enrolled Agent in good standing and authorized to practice with the Internal Revenue Service.
- Certified Public Accountant in good standing with a US Jurisdiction.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- One-year experience in tax resolution case management or equivalent.
- Sharp critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with the MS Office Applications
- Ability to meet crucial deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of IRS policies, processes, and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of the Internal Revenue Manual.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Impeccable professional writing and grammar.

- Motivation to work with other tax professionals as a team on a regular basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods.
- Continuously requires close vision, talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, twisting, standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, bending, crouching and keyboarding.
- Occasionally requires lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching overhead and reaching at or below shoulder level.
- Frequent light work that includes moving objects up to 15 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
