Estate Planning Attorney

A well-established law firm located in downtown Chicago is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its growing practice. The firm advises high net worth individuals across a broad range of industries and backgrounds on sophisticated estate planning matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and implement comprehensive estate plans for high-net-worth individuals, including:
• Revocable and irrevocable trusts
• Trust and estate administration
• Wills and related estate planning documents
• Powers of attorney and healthcare directives
• Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, asset protection, and legacy planning
• Collaborate with clients’ financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals
• Assist with trust administration and post-death matters, as needed
• Stay current on federal and state estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing in Illinois (or eligible for admission)
• 2+ years of experience in estate planning and/or trust administration
• Strong drafting, analytical, and client-facing skills
