Job Description

General MRO Aerospace (GMA) is a globally recognized FAA 145 Repair Station that specializes in maintenance and repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel and electromechanical aircraft components. The ideal candidate would assist with legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. Conduct interviews with clients, gather evidence, organize case materials, and preparing court proceedings as necessary. 


Essential Duties:


  • Legal research: Conduct in-depth research using electronic tools and analyze precedent-setting cases. 
  • Document preparation: Drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, motions, complaints and discovery responses. 
  • Case management: Organize and maintain client and case files, gather evidence, and prepare litigation bundles or exhibit packages. 
  • Client and witness support: Interview with clients and witnesses, gather information, and act as a point of contact for communication. 
  • Trial support: Assist during trials by preparing case materials, supporting during proceedings, and handling administrative tasks. 
  • Administrative tasks: File legal documents with courts and perform other clerical duties like scheduling and managing electronic systems.  


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Qualification:


Knowledge: 

  • Understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and specific practice areas is crucial.  
  • Strong analytical skills are needed for legal research and case summarization. 
  • A degree or certificate in paralegal studies, though experience is vital.

Skills: 

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines efficiently is vital.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for client interaction and drafting documents. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail is required for tasks like document review and data entry.
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism and understand the importance of client confidentiality. 

  Qualification:

  • 2-5 years of experience preferred
  • Experience with legal software and electronic filing systems is often necessary.
