TechOp Solutions International is seeking an experienced FOIA Litigation Analyst to join our team and support our commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability through the Freedom of Information Act. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will play an essential role in managing complex FOIA litigation cases, collaborating closely with legal teams, and providing expert guidance on FOIA matters. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be crucial in navigating the intricate landscape of FOIA regulations and providing top-tier service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee FOIA litigation processes, including coordinating responses to litigation requests and tracking ongoing cases.
  • Review and analyze case files, legal documents, and records to ensure compliance with FOIA regulations.
  • Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documentation related to FOIA requests and litigation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, to prepare for litigation and manage case strategies.
  • Conduct research on FOIA precedents, policies, and best practices to inform case strategy and decision-making.
  • Monitor developments in FOIA-related case law and regulations to ensure compliance and identify implications for ongoing cases.
  • Assist in preparing agency officials for depositions and court appearances.
  • Maintain accurate records of litigation activities and outcomes, reporting on metrics and case statuses as needed.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, public administration, information management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FOIA litigation or related legal analysis roles.
  • Strong understanding of FOIA regulations, litigation processes, and relevant case law.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary.
