A distinguished Amlaw 100 firm seeks a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its preeminent Complex Commercial Transactions practice which heavily serves software companies and high-tech organizations.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious lawyer with 2 to 3 years of experience gained within a sophisticated legal environment, specializing in technology-related matters or possessing transferable experience in broader corporate transactions and a strong interest in specializing in technology law.
The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse range of complex technology transactions, including strategic IT and business process outsourcing agreements, enterprise resource planning (ERP) licensing and implementation projects, software licensing arrangements, and Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements, alongside other significant commercial contracts. Candidates with strong complex commercial transactional experience who have a keen interest and aptitude towards technology may also be considered.
While ideal candidates may be based in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or Boston, exceptional applicants in any of the firm's offices will be considered

The compensation range for this position if based in Illinois is $235,000 - $260,000 annually.
Please note that this range is specific to this location and may differ in other markets. Actual compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide array of intricate commercial agreements related to technology, intellectual property, and data.
- Providing astute legal counsel on technology, intellectual property, and data privacy regulations.
- Conducting comprehensive legal analysis and effectively communicating complex legal concepts to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
- Independently managing assignments and effectively prioritizing multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented approach with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prior interest or background in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing would be advantageous.

- Candidates must be admitted to practice and reside in a jurisdiction where the firm maintains a U.S. office location.
- Admission to Georgia, Illinois, Texas, or Massachusetts is preferred
- Recognizing the benefits of in-person collaboration, this role requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.
