Commercial Real Estate Attorney

Shulman Rogers' Real Estate Department seeks a Commercial Real Estate attorney. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience as an attorney with substantial commercial office and retail leasing experience, including both landlord-side and tenant-side representation. Additional transactional commercial real estate experience is recommended but not required. This is an exciting and challenging position that will allow you to grow as a professional.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and draft commercial office and retail leases and related ancillary documents, including amendments, letters of intent, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, consents to assignment/sublease, estoppels, and commission agreements.
• Negotiate and draft transactional commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, deeds, assignment documents, financing documents, and general corporate authority documents.
• Review and summarize due diligence materials (including leases and service contracts), monitor contingencies, review and prepare title and survey objections, and closing documents.
• Conduct closings and complete post-closing documentation and administration.
• Provide assistance to senior level attorneys, senior paralegals and staff members.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 3+ years' experience as an attorney with commercial and transactional real estate experience.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
