Job Description
We are working on behalf of an Am Law 10 firm to recruit a Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager to serve as a primary liaison to the Capital Markets practice group. Working directly with practice leaders, the Senior Manager will develop, lead, and execute on plans that support the overall business goals of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner with practice leaders to create and implement marketing and business development strategies, leveraging market insights to drive strategy and differentiate service offerings.
- Project & Process Management: Lead RFPs, pitches, and other BD projects for the group.
- Team Leadership & Delegation: Oversee and develop team members, manage the professional development of staff, and delegate work to other team members effectively.
- Budget Oversight: Advise on budget planning, providing guidance and recommendations to group leaders, and evaluate the ROI of initiatives.
Credentials and Expertise:
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or JD is a considerable plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional marketing, business development, or related experience, including at least four years of direct personnel management. Must have experience in a capital markets focused role.
- Strong writing, proofreading, presentation, and critical thinking abilities, with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in handling confidential information with discretion and maintaining effective, collaborative working relationships.
