
Legal Assistant - Trusts and Estates

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with benefits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain legal files including general organization and index estate planning documents.
- Process signed estate planning documents for filing including execution of affidavits of witness, covers, envelopes, scanning, copies and data entry.
- Maintain and track schedules, deadlines and calendars.
- Schedule meetings and conferences.
- Coordinate travel arrangements.
- Enter, edit and/or finalize billable time and client billings.
- Answer a high volume of telephone calls and take accurate telephone messages.
- Open new files.
- Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information.
- Provide other support as necessary.
Excellent word processing skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
Ability to handle and adjust effectively to competing deadlines and priorities.
Typing speed of 50+ wpm.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Reliable transportation.
Client service focused.
High level of professionalism.
Overtime required as necessary.
- $20 - $25/hour
