About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Trial Counsel with a strong background in construction defect litigation. This role is ideal for a seasoned trial attorney who thrives in high-stakes litigation and is ready to lead trial teams, develop case strategies, and deliver winning results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Handle high-stakes construction defect cases from inception to resolution.
  • Serve as lead trial counsel in complex litigation matters.
  • Develop and execute strategic defense approaches to protect clients from Nuclear Verdicts®.
  • Mentor and collaborate with litigation teams, ensuring strong case strategy and execution.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, maintaining strong relationships and trust.

8+ years of trial experience in construction defect and insurance defense litigation.
Proven courtroom success, with a strong track record in complex litigation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a case theme that is more compelling than any plaintiff ploy for sympathy or anger
  • Refuse to accept mediocrity, the average, the standard or the norm in anything
  • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials
  • Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences
  • Routine communications with clients
  • Cultivate relationships with the firm’s existing and future clients
  • Provide leadership and direction with respect to less experienced attorneys
 
Requirements
  • JD from an ABA approved school
  • Must be licensed in your state
  • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation
  • 3+ years of construction defect experience
  • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
  • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
  • Experience with time management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
