Our client is searching for an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal & Legal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting commercial real estate transactions from start to finish.
You'll work closely with legal and business leadership on a variety of real estate projects where initiative, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through are highly valued. This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, collaborate with decision-makers, and play a critical role in successful transactions.
What You'll Do
- Manage transaction timelines, critical dates, closing checklists, outstanding items, and follow-up across multiple active deals.
- Support commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing matters, and financing transactions.
- Coordinate closings with title companies, lenders, brokers, outside counsel, and other transaction partners.
- Review title commitments, surveys, settlement statements, payoff information, lien waivers, and related closing documentation.
- Organize due diligence materials and identify missing information or potential issues requiring attorney review.
- Prepare initial drafts of real estate documents using established templates and precedent.
- Track document versions, signatures, execution status, and post-closing requirements.
- Maintain entity records, transaction files, closing binders, templates, trackers, and checklists.
- Partner with legal, development, construction, accounting, and property management teams to keep transactions moving forward.
- Utilize technology and AI tools to improve efficiency while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail.
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience supporting commercial real estate transactions within a law firm, title company, development organization, or in-house legal department.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate closings, including title, surveys, escrow, financing documents, and settlement statements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and transactions simultaneously.
- Confidence communicating with attorneys, lenders, title representatives, brokers, and other transaction professionals.
- Strong attention to detail, including experience reviewing payoffs, settlement figures, prorations, and wire information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and polished approach.
- A proactive, self-motivated professional who takes ownership, follows through, and anticipates needs before they become issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, DocuSign, and other technology tools.
