Legal Assistant + Real Estate + Omaha

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to become a trusted partner to its General Counsel, helping manage a wide variety of legal and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced, growing organization.

What You'll Do
- Manage legal calendars, deadlines, and critical milestones across multiple matters.
- Track open items and proactively follow up to keep projects and legal matters moving forward.
- Assist with real estate transactions by organizing files, reviewing documentation for completeness, and preparing closing materials.
- Draft and format legal documents, agreements, and correspondence using modern technology and AI tools for attorney review.
- Maintain document templates, checklists, and version control to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Coordinate legal files and records so information is organized, accessible, and current.
- Support department operations through meeting coordination, reporting, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, clients, outside counsel, and business partners.
What They're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Executive Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a similar legal support role.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Someone who naturally takes ownership, follows through, and proactively identifies potential issues before they become problems.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing documents and numerical information.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing technology, including AI-powered tools, to improve efficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote), DocuSign, and similar business applications.
Preferred Experience
- Real estate, commercial real estate, title, or closing experience.
- Experience supporting attorneys in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Background creating workflow systems, tracking tools, or process improvements.
