POSITION SUMMARY
We are bringing on another responsible, detail-oriented, self-starter to our in-house Legal team to assist with document managing, processing, review, and preparation, as well as project management. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3-5 years’ experience in a legal/human resources role, will collaborate with peers, and independently investigate and proactively resolve matters on their own. The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing, processing, and understanding commercial real estate leases and the administration of certain human resources matters and issues. Currently, this is a hybrid remote/in-person position, subject to change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document preparation - gathering and organizing information from multiple sources (i.e. different teammates via emails/dashboards, third-party websites, etc.)
- Document drafting – entering information into pre-determined Word document templates (the templates themselves are mainly managed by Sr. Paralegals/Attorneys)
- Ongoing verification and abstraction of lease information with requisite updating and maintaining lease database(s)
- Maintain the records of lease documents and associated correspondence
- Interpret lease language and respond to internal and external inquiries
- Dispute resolution between landlords, franchisees/licensees, and various company entities with an emphasis on maintaining a good relationship with all parties
- Research and preparation of various reports as requested by other company departments such as Accounting or Operations
- Communicate with, support, and serve as an intradepartmental liaison
- Administrative and other special projects as assigned
- Organization and maintenance of vendor contracts
- Information gathering related to concerns or reports involving corporate restaurant locations
- Assist with preparation of compliance materials related to various legal areas
- Assist with internal projects within the Legal Department – examples may include, but are not limited to, organizing and completing written checklists related to approval processes, verification and abstraction of certain information with requisite updating and maintaining our legal database(s)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a legal/human resources role
- Experience with Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word required
- Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities
- Experience in franchising or restaurant/retail/service/hospitality management is a plus, but not a requirement
