We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Technology Advisor at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. We are searching for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals and business professionals.
A Legal Technology Advisor works closely with the Senior Manager of Legal Technology and the firms’ practice groups, providing support for a variety of practice-specific applications and processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that our legal practice groups have the right tools and processes to perform their work efficiently and effectively. A Legal Technology Advisor will have a combination of strong technical skills, have a consulting approach, and excellent coaching skills.
A Legal Technology Advisor is critical to ongoing experimentation, evaluation, and scaled adoption of emerging technologies, including generative AI, agent-based solutions, and workflow optimization.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Legal Technology Assessment and Support
- Collaborates with legal practice groups to understand their needs and the right technology solutions to enhance legal service delivery.
- Evaluates, implements, and adopts practice-specific and client-facing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. Maintains an awareness of emerging tools and technologies.
- Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of implemented technology solutions and makes necessary adjustments.
- Provides training and coaching to lawyers and support staff on new technologies and processes.
AI Experimentation and Solution Design
- Works with lawyers to identify use cases/tasks where AI can be used to improve work quality and speed.
- Applies appropriate level of experimentation to use cases to ensure the best results; documents the differences in prompts, workflows, etc.,
- Shares outcomes with lawyers and provides training and support as needed.
Adoption, Enablement & Change Management
- Designs and supports adoption programs, including onboarding plans, training exercises, communications, and post-implementation support
- Monitors usage analytics and determines appropriate ongoing awareness campaigns and training. Contributes to “featured technology” program and attends Legal Tech Working Group sessions.
- Identifies opportunities to operationalize technology-assisted workflows (whether GenAI or otherwise) and collaborates with key stakeholders to increase user adoption .
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the firm.
- Works well with colleagues throughout the firm, but particularly with the Information Technology and Training teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience, but not necessarily all as a practicing lawyer.
- Experience in a law firm or legal department setting.
- Certification or coursework in legal technology or related fields.
- Project or product management experience.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and a lifelong learner mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

This is a remote role and the salary ranges for this position vary depending on the geographic location and other factors such as experience, internal equity, market data, and job-related considerations. The range for this position is from $120,000 - $170,000, with offers contingent upon the various factors.
