What we’re looking for\:
Applicants must be law school graduates, licensed to practice and in good standing with excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Prior clerkship experience with an Appellate Court Judge or a Supreme Court Justice is preferred. The ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently is required.

The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicant’s prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
What You'll Do:
Judicial Attorneys review and analyze arguments presented in a variety of motions, memoranda, and briefs involving all areas of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction under Article IV, Section 2(B) of the Ohio Constitution. In addition, Judicial Attorneys research and prepare initial drafts of merit opinions at the direction of the Justice.
