The In-House Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support across various business functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and contributing to the strategic goals of the company. The successful candidate will be adept at handling a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
How will you contribute:
- Provide expert legal advice and support to the company's executive team and various departments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as industry-specific regulations.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks by developing and implementing company policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, working with external counsel as necessary.
- Advise on matters related to intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Support corporate governance activities, including board meetings, minutes, and corporate filings.
- Provide legal support in employment-related matters, including hiring practices, employee relations, and terminations.
- Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Assist in M&A activities, including due diligence, negotiation, and integration processes.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the [State] Bar Association.
- Minimum of [5-7] years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Nutraceutical/Contract Manufacturing sector.
- Previous experience with mergers and acquisitions.
- Familiarity with international business operations and related legal considerations.

Base Salary Range: $155,000 - $195,000 per year, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.
The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
