Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated, passionate, and curious Product Counsel to join as the founding member of our newly established standalone Product Legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing scalable approaches and processes for legal review and guidance across the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development through go-to-market and post-sales support.

What You’ll Do

• Partner cross-functionally to align legal guidance with business goals, including counseling our Product and Engineering teams on key legal issues related to B2B AI systems.

• Research and advise on regulatory frameworks to help design and enhance compliant AI-powered products.

• Partner with marketing teams to align product communications with legal and regulatory standards and support brand credibility and trust.

• Support key initiatives to further develop and mature the legal team’s capabilities and impact.

• Deliver clear, practical legal advice in a fast-moving environment.

What You Have

• A law degree from an accredited law school

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction and able to practice in California or New York

• 8+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience with a focus on product counseling.

• Demonstrated ability to:

  • Exercise Good Judgment: Prioritize and focus on the key risks.

  • Adapt & Problem Solve: Communicate and mediate.

  • Work in service of long term business objectives.

  • Build trusted relationships with the Business,

  • Manage multiple projects and tasks in a time-sensitive environment.

Compensation Range

$251,000 - $317,000 USD
