As the In-House Counsel you will provide, at the direction of the Assistant General Counsel, quality, accurate and relevant advice on the whole spectrum of legal matters that apply to the Center. As the attorney, you will draft, review, and negotiate commodity, revenue and expenditure contracts as well as participate in the procurement processes for the contracts and purchasing departments. This position will work closely with agency departments, divisions, and the Legal Team in a diverse array of legal matters, including providing legal guidance, doing research, and preparing memoranda and other documentation as assigned. This position will be part of MHMR’s Legal Team and will report to the Assistant General Counsel-Legal Services.
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum Education: Juris Doctor
Defined Education: ABA-approved Law School
Preferences: One (1) year of experience; Legal Experience in a community center, behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or health industry will be preferred
Special Courses: Certificates for Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act Trainings
