Paralegal, Franchise Resales

Purpose Brands, LLC the parent company of Orangetheory Fitness, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, The Bar Method, and Basecamp Fitness - is seeking an individual to join our team as a Resale Paralegal with at least three years of business/legal experience. Job Summary:

This strong attention to detail position within the Resale team will provide support from the beginning of the selling process of a business to the end when a deal closes. This position is very involved throughout the entire sales process. Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple projects individually and with a team.

Position responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute franchise documents to buyers and sellers for all resale transactions in the United States
• Serve as the point of contact for franchisees selling their clubs/studios independently or through third-party brokers
• Liaise with financial institutions, particularly on SBA (Small Business Administration) financing transactions
• Support the franchise prospect vetting process, including collecting applications, personal financial statements, and evaluating background checks
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with sellers, buyers, and internal team members throughout the resale process
• Collect, review, and organize corporate entity documentation for incoming franchisees
• Process and enter all resale-related documentation and data into internal systems; manage the collection of applicable transfer and administrative fees.
• Generate regular reports and updates for the resale team and cross-departmental partners
• Respond to inquiries related to Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) and coordinate with legal and compliance teams as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in franchising, legal administration, or business transactions strongly preferred
• Familiarity with legal documentation and compliance processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using CRM/database tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven commitment to the highest standards of accuracy and precision; exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to think creatively, driven and self-motivated contributor
• Demonstrates ability to roll up sleeves' and work collaboratively in a hands-on, team-oriented environment

Salary: $60k - $65k
