Overview
The Med-Legal Coordinator supports the daily operations of the med-legal department by handling case workflows, scheduling, documentation, and communication between physicians, attorneys, and staff. This role focuses on maintaining accurate tracking systems, preparing and organizing reports, supporting AI-driven initiatives, coordinating funding paperwork, and ensuring timely follow-up on case activity.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the med-legal team by maintaining accurate and timely tracking of depositions, physician reports, and case progress.
• Coordinate with physicians to prepare, proof, and finalize med-legal reports.
• Assist with AI training initiatives and help develop AI-generated report processes.
• Schedule depositions, appointments, and other case-related events.
• Prepare, submit, and organize legal and medical documentation for each case.
• Coordinate funding cases for surgeries, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and submitted.
• Track payments, funding collections, and outstanding balances, and follow up as needed.
• Act as a point of contact between attorneys, physicians, and internal staff to ensure clear communication and smooth workflow.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround times.
Qualifications
• Experience in med-legal, healthcare administration, or legal operations preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and timelines.
• Familiarity with medical-legal reporting, deposition coordination, and funding processes.
• Comfortable using technology, including EMR systems and AI-driven tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with physicians, attorneys, and internal team
