If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for Docketing. Typical work assignments will include:
- Input information into databases and systems and updates records.
- Extracts requested program and/or statistical data when requested.
- Update databases and systems to record status changes in all items docketed.
- Reviews reports to identify errors.
- Enters pertinent information into docketing system.
- Performs routine factual research to correct and update case records.
- Review recurring reports to respond to inquiries.
- Retrieves information using routine queries or from hard copy reports.
- Produces complicated tables, graphs and charts which may be incorporated into legal documents or courtroom presentations.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
- Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.
- A USA Hire assessment is required. An email will be sent with additional information after you submit your application. You will have 48 hours from the closing date of this announcement to complete the assessment.
- You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement and before placement in the position.

GS-5: To be qualified at the GS-5 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 in Federal Service.
Specialized experience is defined as performing various clerical/administrative support duties; performing the entry of data into the electronic file and case tracking systems; sorting and retrieving data to produce documents and reports; updating databases and systems to record status changes in all items docketed; assisting with conducting periodic file reviews; locating and correcting data entry errors; filing completed documents in appropriate locations; responding to inquiries; typing and formatting correspondence and forms, maintaining filing systems.

Education: Four years of education above high school leading to a bachelor's degree in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the prerequisite. One year of full-time study is defined as 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) or the equivalent or 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for 36 weeks in business, secretarial or technical school.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: combination of specialized experience and education as described above, where when combined equal 100% of the requirements. To qualify based on a combination, college education must be in excess of 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year). One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. To be qualified, you must type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. (A typing test may later be required.)
Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. To be well-qualified, you must satisfy all qualification requirements for the vacant position and receive a score of 85 or better on established ranking criteria. You must provide proof of eligibility to receive selection priority.
