Job Description

We are proud to represent a global Am Law 50 firm to recruit a Business Development and Marketing Manager to support the firm’s high-profile Governmental and Antitrust Practice Groups, related sub-groups, and the Aerospace, Defense & Government Services Industry Team. The Manager will work closely with practice leadership to enhance practice profiles and drive revenue through strategic business development and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Practice Group Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to practice leaders, developing and executing comprehensive marketing and business development strategies.
  • Drive Client Development: Advise attorneys on business development best practices, guiding them in identifying growth opportunities, expanding client relationships, and advancing the firm’s business development goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the creation and coordination of RFPs, pitches, and presentations, ensuring alignment with client needs and firm capabilities.
  • Thought Leadership & Marketing: Drive content initiatives (e.g., blogs, webinars, articles) that highlight practice strengths and respond to industry developments.
  • Market & Client Intelligence: Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and CRM data to inform business development strategies and track performance.
  • Event & Profile Management: Execute client events and sponsorships, promote practice achievements through PR and rankings, and collaborate across marketing teams.

Credentials and Expertise:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field required; JD/MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or marketing within a law firm or professional services setting; experience with governmental practices is required.
  • Capabilities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative team player who is proactive, resourceful, and creative.
