
Hogan Lovells is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Minneapolis office. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a smaller office environment, supporting attorneys and team members in a fast-paced, client-focused setting. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in a legal or professional services setting, a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation, and a commitment to excellence in administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Manage attorney calendars and coordinate meetings across time zones
- Communicate professionally with clients and respond promptly to inquiries
- Review and triage emails and calls to support attorney efficiency
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Maintain case files and client records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Handle billing processes, including electronic billing and budget tracking
- Prepare expense reports and coordinate travel arrangements
- File legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing required)
- Assist with audit letter responses and quarterly lobbying reports
- Organize client meetings, video conferences, and related logistics
- Provide general administrative support and assist with overflow work as needed
- Two (2)+ years of administrative experienced in a legal or professional services firm preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; MOS certification preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience with billing systems and electronic billing preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work additional time may be required based on business needs, including deadlines, client demands, and team support requirements.
