§ Duties:
The incoming Associate will join a premier group that advises the world’s most significant financial market participants on the full spectrum of regulatory, transactional, and enforcement challenges.
⨖ Providing strategic counsel on US commodity, futures, and derivatives regulations to exchange facilities, clearinghouses, and swap dealers.
⨖ Drafting and negotiating complex transactional documentation for financial instruments while ensuring adherence to evolving federal oversight standards.
⨖ Advising commodity pools, trading advisors, and futures commission merchants on operational compliance and regulatory frameworks.
⨖ Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, Bank Regulation, and Securities Litigation to address multifaceted client needs.
⨖ Assisting in the defense and representation of clients during regulatory enforcement inquiries and investigations.
§ Qualifications:
⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
⨖ Active Bar License in good standing in New York or the District of Columbia.
⨖ Minimum of Two (2) Years of relevant post-JD experience in derivatives, futures, or capital markets regulation.
⨖ Demonstrated capacity for high-level analytical thinking and the ability to navigate dense regulatory environments.
§ Skills:
⨖ Prior experience within a major law firm setting or relevant government oversight agency.
⨖ Specific exposure to the regulatory nuances of decentralized finance (DeFi) or emerging financial technologies.
⨖ Proficiency in managing complex regulatory projects independently while maintaining a collaborative team focus.
⨖ Exceptional writing and communication skills necessary for high-stakes advocacy and client advisory.
