The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Answers and screens telephone calls, direct callers and assists the general public.
- Updates law library
- Responsible for daily jail & bail functions (pulling criminal referrals into Protect, overseeing the necessity of getting complaints completed, obtaining signatures from law enforcement and sending documents to CCAP all within a daily deadline)
- Assists legal assistants with sending out electronic discovery and invoices to defense attorneys.
- Pull through eCitations into Protect
- Pull through eReferrals into Protect
- Request reports
- Scan Search Warrants, Riversides and Media Request forms into system
- Updates arrest and conviction card
- Daily Court runs (i.e. delivering and picking up court documents from other departments)
- Daily mail (i.e. delivering and sorting mail)
Desirable Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of computer operations. Ability to work under pressure, make decisions, and interact effectively with the general public.
Training and Experience:
High school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in the legal field is preferable.
