Job Description

Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP is looking for an experienced Associate Attorney for our Claremont office.

At Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP, we lead the nation in protecting policy holders from insurance companies’ refusal to pay claims. The firm has been protecting the rights of insurance consumers, both individuals and businesses, for over 50 years after having set the legal precedent requiring insurance companies to act in good faith. We are seeking an attorney who is interested in a long-term position who can grow with our firm. You must be able to take on an existing caseload.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • A valid license to practice law in California, in good standing with the Bar
  • A juris doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Eight to ten years’ experience preferred
  • Experience representing clients in all stages of pre-trial litigation, in both state and federal courts
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Preparing for and attending hearings and depositions, including at times in person
  • Be professional, courteous, and accommodating to clients, as well as staff and co-workers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide sound counsel and judgment
  • Must have legal research experience (Westlaw/Lexis)
  • Outstanding attention to detail and high level of organizational skills
  • Exceptional legal writing skills
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team


Job Type: Full-time
Salary:  $150,000 salary, plus discretionary bonuses with a guaranteed minimum of $175,000
