About the Role
This is not a “sit-behind-a-desk-and-manage-spreadsheets” job.
As our Head of Paralegal Managers, you’ll be the heartbeat behind our legal support teams — leading Paralegal Managers, leveling up operations, and making sure our pre-lit and litigation teams are firing on all cylinders.
You’ll work directly with firm leadership, attorneys, and managers to:
- Scale smart

What You’ll Be Doing
Leading & Developing People
- Coach, mentor, and empower Paralegal Managers to be strong, confident leaders.
- Build leadership pipelines, succession plans, and career paths people are excited about.
- Partner with our People Team on hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and growth plans.
- Create a culture of accountability + encouragement + excellence.
Running Smart Legal Operations
- Design and optimize workflows across pre-litigation and litigation teams.
- Make sure work is distributed fairly and efficiently — no chaos, no guesswork.
- Track KPIs, caseloads, and performance metrics to spot issues before they become problems.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance, documentation accuracy, and top-tier client service.
Strategy, Systems & Innovation
- Partner with legal leadership to improve how we work — not just what we do.
- Lead rollouts of new systems, tech, training programs, and process improvements.
- Be the go-to connector between paralegals, managers, and executives.
- Support CLE tracking and ongoing education so our teams stay sharp and confident.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Intake, Attorney, and Support teams to streamline communication.
- Help implement new tools, systems, and workflows without disrupting the team.
- Break down silos and build trust across departments.
Client-First Everything
- Champion a client-centered mindset in every process and decision.
- Make sure our teams deliver a world-class experience rooted in empathy, clarity, and responsiveness.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Have 7+ years of legal experience, including 3+ years leading teams
- Know civil litigation inside and out (pre-lit and litigation)
- Have successfully led high-performing teams in a law firm or professional services environment
- Are confident, emotionally intelligent, and an excellent communicator
- Love data and people — and know how to balance both
- Are comfortable with legal tech and cloud-based case management systems
- Think strategically but aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and execute
Bonus Points If You:
- Have experience in plaintiff-side personal injury
- Have built or scaled operations during periods of growth
- Love mentoring leaders and watching people win
