Job Description

RumbergerKirk is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience to join our Miami office, with an emphasis on general liability litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who is looking to gain hands-on litigation experience, work directly with clients, and play an active role in case strategy and management. You'll take on meaningful responsibility, gain valuable courtroom experience, and develop your practice through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on learning. What you’ll do

  • Handle cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and argue motions.
  • Interview witnesses, experts, and negotiate with opposing counsel.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, and trial documents.

 

What we’re looking for

  • 3-5 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Prior experience in general liability, premises liability, casualty, product liability, or complex litigation preferred.
  • Proven experience with case management.
  • Experience with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent research and writing abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong legal research skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Licenses to practice law in the state of Florida.
