Title: Civil Litigation Attorney
Compensation: $175K-$250K commensurate with experience

About The Job:
Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for an Attorney to join their team. Our client is a mission-driven law firm nationally recognized for their work advocating for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. They offer a unique opportunity to work with an empathetic, justice-focused team that brings decades of legal experience and a deep sense of purpose to every case. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who is passionate about supporting trauma survivors and seeking justice through the legal system. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of compassion, litigation expertise, and the ability to manage a full case load with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with trauma survivors in an empathetic and supportive manner
• Conduct client interviews and case investigations
• Propound and respond to discovery
• Draft motions and complaints
• Conduct legal research and write compelling briefs
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and trials
• Manage civil litigation from case retention through resolution
• Maintain a collaborative and positive work environment

Required Skills:

• Strong writing, oral advocacy, and legal research skills
• Effective and professional communication style
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently under pressure
• Empathy and the ability to support clients in crisis
• Experience with civil litigation procedures in New York and/or New Jersey
• Flexible, open-minded thinker with the ability to take feedback and grow

Education and Experience:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in New York and/or New Jersey
• Five or more years of legal experience required
