Job Title: Patent Paralegal – Patent Operations
Location: 5 days/ week Onsite, Redmond, WA
Rate: $30-$32/ hour
Duration: Through 6/30/26 (extension possible)
Purpose of the Role:
The Patent Paralegal supports the Patent Operations team in managing global intellectual property workflows for a large enterprise technology company. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of patent-related documents, signature routing, and award logistics while contributing to special projects that maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Download and process incoming ISR and 202 documents from the EPO Mailbox daily.
- Process PCT hardcopy mail and ensure timely routing and documentation.
- Handle EP registration certificates: process hardcopies, de-docket related events in Anaqua, and determine appropriate archiving or shredding procedures.
- Verify and download Letters Patents and Registration Certificates; coordinate offsite storage logistics.
- Manage incoming signature requests: summarize items for signature, route to appropriate signatories, and track completion.
- Assist with patent award logistics, including tracking, packaging, and shipping of plaques and gear awards.
- Support special projects such as audits, validation checks, and document retrievals.
Performance Measurement:
- Accuracy and timeliness in processing mail, documents, and signature workflows.
- Reliability in independently managing assigned tasks.
- Clear communication and responsiveness to audits and special projects.
- Consistent quality, meeting SLAs, and maintaining a low error rate.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies preferred; paralegal certification is a plus.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in patent operations or intellectual property administration.
- Prior experience handling USPTO, EPO, and WIPO documentation and workflows.
Core Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Anaqua or similar IP management systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years in Patent Operations/IP Administration.
- Minimum 1–2 years experience with Anaqua or similar IP management systems.
- Minimum 2+ years proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.
- Must have prior paralegal experience specifically related to patents.
- $30 - $32/hour
